A Mercedes Benz Actros 1844 in Bad Nauheim, next to Frankfurt, Germany, had trouble switching gears. We towed the truck to our Workshop in the Autowelt GmbH, at 97618 Niederlauer and removed the transmission in order to identify the issue. The result of the diagnosis were a defective pressure plate and clutch disc, so we ordered the replacements to begin the repairs.
After the parts were delivered, we unscrewed the broken clutch disc and pressure plate in the gearbox housing from the flywheel and installed their new replacements before putting the housing back on the gearbox and tightening the bolts. After reconnecting the TCM, we added transmission oil and installed it back in the Actros. Now all that was left, was to relearn the transmission and do a test drive, before returning the truck back to the customer.
