While driving along the A8 Autobahn in the area around Stuttgart, the expansion tank of the cooling radiator burst inside the motor of the Setra passenger bus. The driver had to stop at the nearest parking lot. The bus owner faced a difficult question - where to repair the Setra tourist passenger bus in Germany? The fact, that the bus was transporting passengers, made it even more complicated. The owner of the bus turned to the operator of the international helpdesk awhelp24. After consultation with the owner of the bus, the mechanic of the awhelp24 service and the driver, it was decided to arrange the replacement of the bus and send a tow truck to the broken Setra. The bus was delivered to a service station - Autowelt GmbH, Niederlauer, which has extensive experience in repairing bus and truck engines. The bus runs on a six-cylinder in-line engine Mercedes-Benz (Mercedes –Benz) OM 457Hla, Euro V. After removing the cylinder heads, it was established that there was a microcrack in the liner of the second cylinder through which exhaust gases pressured the radiator and expansion tank into the cooling system. In agreement with the owner of the bus, it was decided to replace the entire piston group, liners, pistons with rings and connecting rods. Bosch fuel injectors and turbine have also been checked. Repair took four days. After which the tourist bus was able to continue driving. CALL US IF YOU NEED HELP!!!
