Repairing Renault Master Minibus in Germany.
Renault Master Minibus (2.5 diesel, 2005, mileage 530,000 km) was going from Ukraine and broke down in Germany on the autobahn 9 near Erfurt.
There was a dark smoke and the motor died. The driver from Kharkov asked us for help. The Awhelp24 dispatcher phoned several local companies and chose the most acceptable solution. An hour later, a tow truck arrived and dragged Renault Master to the repair shop of Autowelt GmbH company (97618, Niederlauer). After checking the motor, it turned out that the crankshaft main bearing had been cranked.
Due to the high cost of new parts its repair is impractical.
At the request of the owner, Awhelp24 employee found the same used motor assembly with mileage of 75,000 km and a guarantee of 1,200 euros over the Internet, on the site www.partsbit.de that sells new and used spare parts for trucks and cars. Its delivery to the company costed 80 euros and its installation - 300 euros.
The customer took that old motor with him intending to sell its attachments, head unit, etc. and bail out a minimum of 600 euros.
Repairs took 3 days and costed 1,850 euros because of the use of a tow truck.
