From April 13 to 19, 2026, the traditional "speed trap marathon" (Speedweek) will take place in Germany. The main day of intensified controls is Wednesday, April 15.
Where checks will be carried out:
The campaign covers both motorways and federal highways as well as urban streets – especially near schools, kindergartens, hospitals and construction zones.

The second campaign will take place from August 3 to 9, 2026, but with less intensity and without a single main day.
Fines:
Sanctions are standard – from warnings to driving bans depending on the severity of the speeding offence.
